Theres my slip from today. What do you guys think do I need a CAI or what? My exhaust didnt seem to help me AT ALL. My damn trap speed is so freaking low its pissing me off. Hell theres been a bunch of posts in street/strip first time at the track trapping at 99.5mph??? I know all the variables and what not... but its still way to low.

No. I dont want them... atleast until i decide i'm not going to supercharge it... i put about 15k highway miles on it a year and i'm making a 2100 mile trip this summer.

I know gears would help... but i'm just not sure what the hell happend to my trap speed, I guess I pretty much just want to know if my full exhaust didnt really help in because its being robbed by the stock airbox.

Intake and throttle body/plenum would do numbers I think.

Ever been on the dyno?? There is EVERY chance that the LTs have fuxed your A/F ratio. I was really rich before the custom tune.

I could definatly see you cutting a much better 60' with the exaust because of tires and picking up power down low (cause of the exhaust) and then losing out on power up top cause the a/f is off at high RPM. This would explain why you are running faster but the trap is so far off, and why your still in the 14s.

Yea intake mods would help it bc they let you tach up faster, but I think its track issues or you arent driving it well. I mean my vert trapped that when it was stock and its heavier. The 60' shouldnt affect your trap speed. Just see if you can hold it out in 3rd gear longer.

I read the posts from the posted thread and I think alot has to do with the 60'. The more you spin, usually the higher trap speed.

ya maybe your a/f is off. that doesnt seem right at all.... im stock, went to the track the first time today and was trapping ~99-99.5 (u were probably referring to me hahaha) all day here in indiana so our elevations cant be too far off plus it was only about 50 degrees out here too. i was cutting about 2.17-2.3 60ft's and i wasnt spinning off the line, I just had trouble hitting 2nd n 3rd w/out spinning which decreased my mph to the 98's when i couldnt get traction down the track

Yeah... I know what you're saying I had one run where i didnt do a burnout at all, launched way to high end up cutting like 2.28 or something like that. My trap speed was 98.00 still doesnt seem close to right to me, I dunno maybe i'm just expecting too much.
