If what you say was true people would not be supercharging a SOHC engine. So I don't think that is it. I read that Post about the Mach they purposely ran to much boost. It seems like you could swap out the stuff and run a safe boost and be OK. I'm just trying to figure out what could be so expensive about putting a supercharger from a Terminator on an older 32 V engine.

I dunno, I'm not very brilliant when it comes to forced induction. Haven't studied it enough so I'll let you guys battle it out.


Maybe they made some drastic changes to mounting patterns and stuff... who knows

It isnt as bad to swap an Eaton onto an older 32v. Just like putting a blower on a 2v that is designed for 2v, if you keep the boost on the level and tune it appropriately, you should be fine. I personally would not do that if I had a DOHC because the Eatons max out fairly quickly. (I think at about 8-10 psi and then they make more heat than is worth it)

Well like 2000GT4.6 said, if you use the centrifugal blower (like the vortech he used), forging the internal is not absolutely necessary, unless you want more psi and more horsepower.
