Default What cams should I go with??

I'm looking at getting cams for my 04 GT. I'm looking at stage 1 or 2, but not to sure what to go with, or brand to go with. I'm thinking either Comp or Crane. My car is the 40th Anniversity Ed. with the PI heads too. I have an Accufab 70mm TB and plenum, Steeda CAI, BBK LT headers, BBK catted X, LM1 catback, 3.73 gears, Steeda underdrive pullys, Diablo Predator tuner, and Steeda Tri-Ax shifter.

None, you are going to spend atleast $500 on the cams for the stage 1's, and more with springs for the stage2's. Then you have to have them installed if you cant do it your self. Lets say $400 for the install even I know they cost way more. Then you should have your car tuned professionally for the most gain. $300 for the tune. What do you ask will you gain?? Maybe 25-30hp...MAYBE.

For that cash, get a n20 kit and spray your heart out. Or, save that cash and get a blower. Plus you can sell your intake stuff to cover the cost after you get it.

If you plan on building up the bottom end in the future, get stage 2's. If not, get the stage 1's and be happy right now. If you can afford it, buy a blower now, so when you do buy cams, they are for a blown or n/a application.

ever heard of ebay? they sell cheap stuff there. i saw crower stage 1s for 300... [:-] so you can get them cheaper. Cams are well worth it. I would just build the bottom end then get stage 2s then get some nos and spray the hell out of it. easy 10-11s

Just run the stage 2's on the factory motor. The only real weakness is the stupid wrist pins, but if your gonna rebuild soon then run the whatever the hell you want for now.
