Lowering Springs

Lowering Springs
I was offered a set of bbk performance lowering springs from a guy this week for $50.00. Would that be a good investment for my totally stock 03 gt? I assume that they are 1.5" lowering springs. Will this make going over speed bumps or dips anymore difficult? He also said that he took them off a 93' model mustang. Does the model year matter?
Thanks
