hell, am I the only one that would go for the H pipe? I prefer H, the sound is more american muscle to me compared to X pipes which have an exotic/import sound. i'm not sure the horsepower gain with an X compared to an H, i know X flows better but the difference i'm sure is not huge and therefore not enough for me to warrant the sound quality of the H.

Sound doesn't mean didly to me.

Back int he olden days, there was some pro dragster (can't remember his name off hand) whose car was quieter than a kitten compared to everyone elses.

He beat them almost all the time.

your right, performance is definitely important. but X pipes tend to sound on the import side, and i'd like to stay the hell away from that

I have a 96 cobra with and H-pipe and Mac cat back and it sounds like s**t. Sure its loud but the popping and mini backfires annoys the hell out of me. I say go with the X-pipe dont worry about sounding like a ricer because you wont you have to have a lil engine to do that. And Dr.Gas is the way to go they are the ones that came up with the idea I am told. Nascar uses there's so why not U?
