LM1's + x-pipe
Hey Guys -
I just got my Lm1 catback and X pipe installed and my 99 GT is now rediculously loud, almost to the point where i am not comfotable. Dont get me wrong i love the sound but im kinda worried about cops now. Does anyone have this set up or similar and have you been near cops, i just want to know how the cops react.
Thanks,

With LM1's, I am only gettin a catted H-pipe, I would never even think about an off road pipe,,,,,,,,,,,, but to answer your Q, ask Dilo2001, he has the lm1"s with an O/R pipe, his car is damn loud,,,,,,, good luck with it either way

Does it sound good??
Does it sound good??
Without cats..... NO!
When running LM1's w/ an O/R pipe you can say your car is loud, but everyone else will say your car sounds like sh*t... I hate SLP w/ O/R pipes, just my 2 cents... [:@]

RE: LM1's + x-pipe
I have had SLP LM1's and an O/R X for about a year now..I felt the same way when I first started it up...I thought it was way too loud...and like you said...uncomfortable. After a while you learn to drive the car and shift the car at the right rpms (provided its a standard) so that its not so loud. As far as it not sounding good....I could see that too...if you always drive in the 2200 - 3500 rpm range at part throttle then it kinda sounds bad....but you can get around it like I said. At wide open throttle I love how it sounds....and so has everyone else that has ever heard it. I have never heard anyone say that it sounded bad...and believe me...I ask everyone. At the track everyone loved it and had asked what the setup was. I have been pulled over for it twice now...first time was the first day I had it on....I was going up a hilll...and its loud no matter what going up a hill....and the second time now that I think about it I was going up a hill too. FIrst time I got a ticket...fought it and got out of it...second time cop told me that it sounded good and to go home..ha.
