Default 04' GT 5spd - Transmission question

Code3GT (I hope I don't get chewed up for asking) :-)

I did a search on this forum for transmission and I did not another thread with my problem.

Here it is: my '04 GT 5spd shifts OK on all gears execpt 2nd (no grinding), just the car bugs down and jumps a little.

It doesn't matter how I release the clutch, or how I accelerate, it always jumps?

I have not clue what is going on. I let my buddy drive it (he has a 2000 GT 5spd) and he noticed it right of way.

Does anyone know what it may be? I had taken the car to the dealer and they said it was fine?

Thanks,

your friend noticed it right away but the dealer didnt say/do anything? thats stupid...take it back. lol. check the tsb section too for something possibly relating to that..never know what you can find in there. my tsb ended up getting me a whole new transmission.

the clutch cable might be a little loose and need to get use to your driving. the last driver probably drove like crap and the car was use to it. give it a week and then if nothing changes take it to a transmission shop. your buddy has a 2000 and you have the tremec so your clutches are also VERY different. your clutch is a lot more touchy.

You'd hear a synchro problem.

Is your clutch slipping? Put it in 3rd gear and hit the gas, if it rev's up without accellerating to match the RPM's.......you need a clutch!

Is there slack in your clutch pedal?

Thank you all!

I will check the clutch tonight. I have had the car since DEC'05. Right now there is no slack on the clutch pedal.

Also, what is the "tsb" that Car_Ramrod mentioned?

I tried 3rd gear last night and it stalled then both needles went up at the same time. I guess my clutch is good!

I did take a look at the TSB. There are a few about manual trans. I guess that I will take it to a transmission shop and see what they say.[X(]
