Default RE: oil question

Royal purple is the best, I get it at O'rielys to. Dont get thiner oil 5w-30 is what you need. To thin of oil can give less lubracation and sealing power in the cylinders. Those thin oils are designed for motors with closer tolerances. Also royal purple can be run for 8000 miles......thats right 8000 miles. I only run mine for 6000 and change filters at 3000. So in reality its not any more expensive as a regular brand oil, since it last longer. Also there isnt a damn thing wrong with regular motocraft oil.

Really yoteehunter nailed it on the head, it's really up to the individual. I can say I just changed mine again today and put 6 quarts of 5-30 Mobil One and a fram PH2 filter on... but anything will really work. PS: has anyone else noticed how weird pennsoil ( spelling sorry) smells when you take it out, it's kinda funky. I changed it in a buddy's honda.
