Mobil 1 synthetic, Castrol Syntec, and if you feel like ordering oil you can get royal purple. Royal purple is supposedly the "best oil" but it's expensive and you have to order it.

I've heard people using a higher weight of oil when going synthetic, like 5-30 or 10-30. Any specific reason for this? I have a 21k miles 04GT and im using Castrol 5-20 and was thinking of moving it up to 5-30 or possibly 10-30. I live in Oregon so extreme temps are not an issue.

If extreme temps are not an issue just stick with the 5-20. I have been buying royal purple at O'reilly's auto parts, but going to go back to buying online......its a little cheaper that a parts store.

GET MOBLE ONE 0-40. MOBLE ONE IS ONE THE THINNER SIDES OF OIL AND THIS IS IN MY OPINION THE BEST OIL FOR STANGS WITH THE 4.6.

I use castorl syntec blend. But it doesn't really matter what type of oil you use, as long as it's the correct weight for your climate and you change it regularly(depending on how you drive).

6.99 a quart at O'Reilly's auto parts.

I have bought 2 cases from Karl Racing. They are 6.42 a quart, or 76.99 a case. Last time I bought a case it was about 5.40 a quart. Royal Purple went up at the first of this year[:@]
