Default REVVING ENGINE

My 4.6 sohc (96) has recently came up with a little problem. Sometimes when I pull up to a stop my engine will not come down from 1500 rpm's, even when I am on the clutch. It also seems as if I step (hard) on the brake it will cause the idle to lower, other times this problem is non existant. WHAT IS MY PROBLEM????? It is driving me up a wall. I think it could be a vacume leak, but I dont know where from. And I cant hear it sucking. Another thing is my ABS light comes on once in a while, could these two be related such as in a brake booster? Just a thought. Thanks for any help.

OK 1st thing is probably IAC

OK 2nd thing is normal. When you step on the brake hard your rpm will lower because your drawing power from the motor.

OK 3rd thing your probably low on brake fluid or your abs sensors are damage.

Thats my guess.

unbolt those 2 bolts, get some intake/carb cleaner and spray it in the hole.

unbolt those two bolts and replace it...cleaning it will make it worse more than likely.

I have a used one I can sell you...3k miles on it since new.

First thing, what will you sell me one for( shipped to missouri) 2nd thing is I've heard that it will improve it for a while but then it will go out. Thanks, I'm not ?'ing you expertise here just asking for clarification. You obviously know more than me on this subject.

I had the same problem with my IAC. I sprayed it with carb cleaner, and it cleared it right up.

Is your a/c running at the time? Remember the compressor will play with the rpms.
