I have found that the one way to save what seems to me like a ton of gas is to take it easy when accelating in 1st and 2nd. One night me and my friend with his 94 GT. Both of us got half tank. We drove around for about 2 hours in town. He had under a 1/4 and I ended up with about 3/8. He tends to accelerate somewhat normal maybe a little quick though 1st and 2nd. He burned over an 1/8 more than me in that time. I encourage people to try that.

Also I get far better gas mileage in town than on the interstate I can put 30 miles on in town it seems like, is equal to how much i'll use driving 8 miles on the interstate. weird.

my '06 3 valve is a little better than my '03 2 valve was but I only get about 9 - 11 MPG in town (with stoplights every 1/8th mile).

If I really try, I can get 14 out of it in town but I don't wanna drive like an old lady. so I'm usually in the 10 range.

On the highway cruising at 60, it gets up to 21 MPG and 24 is the best I have ever managed on a long drive in fifth at low rpm.

I'm actually impressed with the mileage I got this week. I finally took my car out after it sitting the winter and filled it Sunday. I drove to work which is a half hour of driving there and a half hour back. So an hour of driving a day and i took it out a few times as well. As of leaving work today I still had a 1/4 tank left and I have 4.10s for all you people that think it kills mileage to the max. I was suprised but I don't drive like a maniac though a few times I got on it for obvious reasons

I get 14-16mpg around town and 19-22 hwy. I'll get on it maybe once a day, if that. To seight311, I have been trying starting out slow through 1 and 2 and I do seem to be getting better mpg from it. This will be the first tank driving like that so I wont know for a couple of days what the total gain is.

16.5-18 city. dont know about highway. I have a lot of fuel saving mods (X pipe, K@N, advanced timing, plenum, UDP's). cant imagine how terrible my mileage was before it all.
