Default Header Question:

Did a search.. and didnt really see anything relevent.

I am just curious how much you guys paid for your headers and what length they are. I am really looking at redoing my entire exhaust as my next mod.. just trying to price out what everyone actualy paid so I can get a better idea. Already have the catback picked out (hopefully I hear back soon), and I want to go long tube.. mid length are way to expensive.

I recently picked up some BBK 1 5/8 inch Ceramic Coated Long Tube Headers for my 2000 Mustang GT Vert.

Paid $479 Shipped.

Other header prices:
MAC LT's - around $350
SLP LT's - around $730

Those are the major three, but other brands are for "REAL" serious users, such as Kooks, which will run you around $900+ ish.

Yea my full exhaust cost me $1200 on the nose.

BBK LT's - $479 Shipped.
VRS o/r X - $185 Shipped.
LM1's - $382 Shipped.

And your wondering why 1200, because what I listed doesn't add up... But I also bought Stage 8 Header Bolts, Percy Gaskets, and BBK MILs.

Got my BBK longtubes for the 4v for 420 shipped from a personal sale, 140 for the X pipe and the car came with the magnaflow catback on it. I paid a friend mechanic 400 bucks to do lowering springs, Longtubes and get a bung and boss welded into the midpipe for my wideband.
So my full exhaust cost me just over 1000 installed.

if you have the option, i would go with Ceramic coated aluminum headers.....just my personal preference

edit: i didnt pay for my exhaust (at least not with money), but i have been told by Bassani that my whole setup is in the $2,100 neighborhood....that is M/L headers (that is where the big bucks are going), X with high flows, and cat-backs

I have been considering long tube 3 inch Hooker Headers for my 98 project car. Anyone have any input on these so far as fit and performance?.
