Mid-01, one of the changes they made is they moved the rear defrost button off the instrument cluster to the center console... so if you buy the autometer cluster for 99-01 your rear defroster will always be on, I pulled the fuse in my engine bay for the rear defroster... That definitely killed it but if someone pushes the button for the rear defroster it blows the fuse for my A/C clutch. Argh electrical monster [:@]

The reason I say this is because my instrument cluster is from a 99 Cobra... I got it from eBay for $150, it had 0.5 miles on it. It works great otherwise... it was in brand new condition because it had been removed from the Cobra at 0.5 miles.

As for the plastic face, it scratches REALLY easy, it's a very soft plastic, I wiped my old one with a soft cloth to remove the dust and it left quite a few visible scratches... so for my new one if it gets too dusty I'm just going to take the extra step of removing it to clean the face.

When I swapped it I had to go to the Ford dealership to have my keys reprogrammed because the PATS key code is stored in the instrument cluster, as well as the mileage. They couldn't adjust the mileage, so they recorded it, as did I, so it's still accurate, and legal, somewhere.
