I have an '02 GT with a complete SLP exhaust system. If you want more sound buy the LM1's and install a set of SLP long-tubes (they are expensive though - around $800). My GT has a catted x-pipe and it sounds great. I also have a set of SLP race pipes sitting in a box at home. You can swap them when you want to, but I prefer the way my car sounds with the cats on. The car is very loud but has a nice tone to it (not raspy).
* The SLP cats can be swapped for SLP race pipes without any other modifications.
* If you purchase the long-tube headers you will need to have an x-pipe short assembly for the parts to fit.
Don't buy LM2's! The LM1's sound better! That's just my opinion though.[8D]

I noticed that you live in Long Island NY. I know how the police are around there (I'm from New Jersey). New York has very strict emissions laws in effect and the police are always anxious to give out tickets!

not really, my cousin drives a 5.0 with open headers, if you don't know what that sounds like... heres a explanation
he came over 1 night and i could hear from the main road which is far enough from my house that i can only really tell cars from thier exuast, when he comes it so loud i don't know ho wmuch louder he is gonna get before he reaches my house.... idk if that helped but its deafining he has had that for a few months and the car is a daily driver never got pulled over yet
