Wow you guys are all hyped up over this PP(typhoon) intake. Read the test more closely to see that it gained 23HP over stock with the throttle body & Plenum. Those gains were at like 6000rpms and didn't gain squat below. And the company who tested it is a dealer so you know they will do anything to boost those numbers so the sales will come rolling in. And the test motor was heavily built up. I'll bet this intake won't gain 5HP on a stock or mildly modded 4.6. Only way it will make power is if its ported and on a boosted or full blown NA car.

Wait for the HPS version if you must have an aluminum lower intake. Atleast that won't be cast of sub par Chinese aluminum.

Hell in a few months I'll be outa school for summer Ill build my own intake out of aluminuim sheet metal................and whats a few more months.........its rediculous is what it is, if your going to market something then market it, dont through out an ad and then sit on the design for a year. The modular market sucks!

You are absolutely correct droptop. That article was a bunch of BS. Look at the car they did it on. I am almost sure (I dont feel like getting the article out rigt now) that it was a Rousch 'stang they tested it on. Also, the gains are with the 75mm TB and Plenum along with the intake. Almost no additional power was made below 6000 RPM. Mostly lost power at the entire RPM band until 5700 RPM. You guys all know that your stock GT's redline at somewhere like 5800 RPM. Therefore with this intake, YOU WILL LOSE POWER UNTIL YOU LAST 200 RPM. Unless you are spraying I would not get this. It is a waste of $550. Spend the money on a good CAI, Throttle body, and Plenum and you will be much better off. Do not believe all the hype about this intake.

I'm going to go pick up the mag for my own personal benefit, since I swore up and down that there was more power than that made w/ the combo.. If not, then oh well, I'm a dumbass.. I plan on going the Nitrous route anyway, so that's my deal..

Besides, how many people on this forum, actually build their cars big?? Not many, since just about everyone's questions are about Gears, or exhaust... Oh, and I thought the only things the test car had was exhaust, and cams?? Maybe not, but regardless, I'm still contemplating this intake, so take it how you want.. I'm psyched that it's stock appearing. I don't want chrome, and I don't plan on making 500hp...
