Why the #%&@ would you want to do that on a sports car that has problems keeping traction as it is! You're asking for an accident. Look at tirerack.com for some good prices. That'd be a bad move honeslty.

I just replaced my tires about 3 months ago. When with the G-Force T/A, KDWS. These things stick like a ****! I used to be able to jump on it in 2nd with the stock Goodyears, and it would fry them at will. I can barely get it to chirp 3rd anymore. It will only do it when I power shift it.

They were pretty cheap too. I think they were around $135 per. I've been through TONS of tires in my day as I'm pretty hard on them. I can't say enough about these. They really are unbelievable. These are the ONLY tires I would recommend for the GT. They're even amazing in the rain. You won't believe the difference when the road is wet. Not too bad in the snow either if that applies to your area.

I went from the stock Goodfears and haven't looked back. I currently run a Kelly Charger HP. They handle better than the stockers in the dry as well as wet. Mounted balanced and on my way for 490 bucks. The only reason you really need a "Z" rated tire in my opinion is if you're going to sustain speeds in excess of 130 or so. Just my opinion though.

I wouldn't recommend it. The car already has problems sticking the rear end to the road. Go to tirerack and check out a Firestone Firehawk SZ50. Great tire for the money. Good performance, good tire wear, a bit noisy, but I'm on my third set of them.
