Default 275/40/17 tires question

I'm considering new Kumho Ecsta tires for my 02 GT w/ 17x8 bullitts and I'm interested in putting 245s front and 275s in the rear. The only problem with this is that i won't be able to rotate my wheels since they'll be different sizes. How big of a problem is this? Is it worth doing this combo vs. 245s all around?

Anyone running this combo?

Thanks [8D]

It's not a big deal, if you aren't bombing corners and keep your car properly aligned, it won't be a big issue. Obviously you lose the ability to rotate the tires and even out the wear, but if you got the money, why not?

The 275's won't really benefit you much, infact the car might jerk and pull since there will be quite a bit more of tread in the back, but if the roads around you aren't all that bad...it won't be much of an issue

I ran 245's in the front of my GT with 275's out back, it was fine.

they're fine, but I would suggest something a tad bit less wide on stock rims or your wasting your money

yea a 275 is kinda pushin it on an 8 inch wheel, i have them on my 8.5's and it looks ok, my friend had the same tires on 9 inch wheels and it looked perfect. you'll be ok though.

Ya, 275's require a 9" to 11" width rim as recommended by most tire manufacturers. 8.5" may squeek by. Actually 245's are the max recommended for a 17" x 8" rim.

im running sumitomo 245's in front and 275"s in back on the stock rims. i love the way it looks especially from the rear. i havent have a prob. with the 275's, but i def. wouldnt go any bigger on stock rims. if you already havent ordered the tires that you're looking at i will be more than happy to let you know where i found mine (got a really good deal on them by the way )

I ended up ordering 245s Kumho Ecsta ASX all around ($90 each + $30 shipping from TireRack.com) After speaking to a few friends i realized that the gain for 275s just isn't worth it. I'll just buy a pair of slicks to have for track use if the need comes up.
