Default Gas Mileage with heads and cam

Ok guys, I have a question. I am either going to do a supercharger or heads/cam swap this summer. I am wondering how bad the head/cam swap will affect gas mileage. I drive 30 miles each way to work, so I am hoping some of you guys out that that have done a head/cam swap can help me out. Did you notice a significant difference in the gas mileage. I know you have a beefed up motor with heads/cam Code, But you have in between a stage 2 and 3 grind. I am lloking at a stage 1 cam because I know that the stage 2 is no good in my RPM band. Anyone with a stage 1 or maybe 2 cam that can help with input would be great. If you have higher than stage 2 (Code) I still am curious how bad it hurt your gas mileage. Thanks ahead of time.

What stage cams you got BCisme. What heads, did you get your ported and polished, is so from where. I was looking at Fox Lake Mustangs, Livernois, or VT Engines. Livernois and Fox Lake are each about an hour from my house, so I don't have to worry about shipping.

If you do mild cams and headwork, it wont hurt mileage that much.

i have comp XE278AH. the hottest 4.6 2V street cam comp makes without a custom grind. steen racing ported heads. VT engines stage II is a good choice.

like 9-12mpg... lol idk whats wrong with my car. i think since i have a crappy clutch its causing me to lose gas mileage. Throwout bearing is busted, and its slipping a tad....

with the blower you will see an increase in mileage when you are cruising. this is for 6 lb setups. but even then, +1mpg as well as more hp. but it'll probably cost at least 1k more.

the heads/cam definately gets the kewl factor.
