problems with 97 GT mustang, help!
So i have a 97 gt mustang, 5 speed of course. Its in really good condition only 70K miles on it....but lately im haven some problems. the first problem isnt big but idk what it is. when i turn the wheel it make squeeking noises, checked powersteering fluid its not that, sound liek it coming from the boot im not sure. the other problem i have no idea. when im driven and i hit about 3500 rpms i get this whistle noise that sounds like its coming from the back of my car, it happens in first second and third, havent tried 4th yet but im sure it does, its a weird whistle noise almost like metal scrapping aginst something. So if anyone knows or has any ideas whats wrong with it please reply, and if i can fix it myself even better, thanks

Squeeks could be from a number of things, even ball joints and/or worn bushings, spring isolators, bad struts/shocks, etc. The rear end noise you hear is probably just that....rear end noise. I would try having your differential fluid changed and highly recommend Royal Purple synthetic. It allows the gears to operate at a lower heat range and is super slippery stuff. You don't even need to add the Ford friction modifier when you switch to the 75w-90 Royal Purple gear lube. http://www.royalpurple.com/prodsa/mgeara.html
Good luck with your ride!
