help with new gears
Alright i am getting new rear end gears and i have decided to get 4.10s. Is there anything else i need to buy or do to make sure they work properly. Also i was wondering if it is possible to install these myself and if not how much will it cost to get done. Your help would be greatly appreciated.Thank you

RE: help with new gears
there are kits out there that will give you everything you need. check out mustangtuning.com.
i wouldn't recomend installing these yourself unless you really know what you're doing. install gets pricey though, probably around 300-400 depending on your area

RE: help with new gears
Have it done by a shop. Preferably one that does it alot and knows mustangs, so it's a cookie cutter op for them. I live in Dallas so I am having Dallas Mustang do mine. They quoted me 215 for labor. I'm sure there will be other small charges and stuff for things like diff gasket, lube, etc, but you can't beat 215 for that job. Usually those type of pro shops have seen it all and will make sure you are squared away.
If you try it yourself you need to be really concerned about setting the lash and all that. If you screw it up, bend over and prepare for the rubber glove.[:@]
