I went and had the code checked out and they stated it was a fuel leak somewhere. I checked the gas cap and it's tight. Also I can smell a faint odor of gasoline inside the vehicle. Where is the first place i should start looking

Start by checking your fuel lines.

Also check the injectors. If you turn the heater on does the smell of fuel get worse?

if you can smell it back near the tank, check where the inlet hose goes into the tank. there is a rubber seal around it that will go bad, especially if the tank has ever been dropped or if the car was wrecked. had to replace one on my car, it was bout twenty bucks from ford garage (only place you can find em)
