Default Decoding Year on Vin

Just wanted to know when the vehicle was produced to tell if was built in the 2nd half of 2001? Which digits would these be? I have the vin for referance? Any help would be greatly appreactited, due to the finding of critical parts.

Besides the water pump pulley, wasnt the block and transmission also changed/upgraded?

transmission.. yes. Block? Don't think so. I do know there are a lot of minor differances...

i thought the block was changed too... 99-mid01 windsor block with t45 tranny and mid01-04 romeo block with tremec tranny.

I don't know about the block... I know the tranny is differant... the PCV on the plenum I know is differant... The pulleys are differant.. but the rest I don't know about.
