Also think of this though, S/C are much easier to install and maintain then turbo charger. And Turbo chargers have lag to them. So if your draging from a dig, wouldnt S/C make most sense?

Modular Powerhouses most powerful mustang uses a KB 2.2L because it is also his street car and he finds the KB torque fun on the street....

I must agree with justintgt they are two competely different superchargers, both have there advantages and disadvantages.

KB is probably viewed as a "more fun" supercharger. Full boost at 2500 rpm's, massive low end torque. Whoever said they suck at the track you are very misinformed, I certainly would not say they suck at the track. I've seen KB 03 Cobra's cutting 1.3 60', please explain to me how cutting 1.3 60' qualifies as sucking? The KB power will fall off faster than a centri's power and the design of the KB I dont think is quite as well made as some of the centri's out there right now. They tend to run a bit hotter than most of the centri's out there.

Centri's on the other hand you wont get that nice low boost which to some people isnt as fun. There power does kick on later which is nice seeing as how when drag racing you spend 90% of your time in the higher rpm's. Power output between the two is quite comparable with a slight torque advantage going to the KB.

Personally IMO the centri is going to be the better drag racing blower (in no way does that mean a KB is not a good drag racing blower). The KB and the instant torque will definitely always make for a fun ride though.

Judging by this statement it sounds like the KB which would be what you want. As far as racing from a dig that all depends on how long you plan on racing for. If you are going for the 1/8 mile or for a short period of time definitely if u can use all that low end power the KB is going to give you that would definitely be the better choice. If you are going 1/4 mile or so then get the turbo, it will make more power and if you setup a turbo properly you can make the lag very little.

Its because there to expensive, not cuz they suck. By the way the twin screw blower is the best..........what in the world do you think rides on top of a top fuel drag car silly! Similar design as a kenny bell. duh LOL jk
