Default pi intake on non-pi heads

I can get a used pi intake w/o the alluminum crossover for $50.00. Can I use it on the non-pi heads? Would I get any kind of gains or is it just a waste of time? thank you.

You can it is good to use adapter plates though to seal it properly but it doesnt absolutely need them it is just a good idea. It will make 14hp and about 15trqlbs. acording to some yahoo's that tested it over on modular forums.

You don't need the adaptor plates, thats a waste of money. And yes, you will definitely feel a good gain.

The adapter plates is your best bet they will give you the biggest gains because they will seal the best. They also cost like $300 though. You can use some RTV sealent which is a good alternative and much cheaper. Or you can use neither and it will still work. My suggestion use the RTV.
