I have 3.73's on my '02 GT and couldn't be happier. I am on the road quite a bit and for the amount of driving I do they are perfect for me. The 4.10's are also an excellent choice though. I would have been happy with those as well.

He has an auto so i think 4.10s are the minimum he should go with. Alot of ppl around here would say 4.30s because you're auto. I have a 5spd and I want to get 4.10s, but autos are geared longer and NEED 4.10s from everything I've seen.

My car is an AUTO as well and she runs just fine with the 3.73's. Like I said the 4.10's are also an excellent choice (I almost went with the 4.10's). I decided to go with the 3.73's because I may install a supercharger in the future. I also put an average of 25,000 - 30,000 miles on my car each year.[8D]

I'm happy with my 3.73's with an auto and they are just right for my use. I don't race at the track and do about 50/50 highway/city driving. My rpm's are about 2,300+ at 65 to 70 mph. I was only running 1,950 at 70 mph previously with 3.08's. If I drive with normal acceleration, I shift out of 1st in about twenty feet or less, you can image with higher yet gears. Of course this is not so under WOT, but you don't run that way very often. I would say either 3.73 or 4.10 would be okay, I just thought the 3.73's were a better all around gear in the real world. The shop that installed them asked point blank, first thing what brand and ratio I went with. I said Ford Racing and 3.73's. They said good choice.
