I'm scared... 4:10's?
when I was at the track I made a few friends... one of which was a kid with an lt1 trans am who was doing 13's... he said he just had L/T's and that would suggest he had a stock rear end, diddn't even have D/R's he was staged in front of me when I was next and his rear end snapped.... I need a hell of alot of reassurance now guys, will 4:10's even have a romote possibility of snapping the back end of my car? I so do not want to go through that... I know he had a crappy f-body rear end and all but just seeing it happen makes you weary.... sorry for all the posts about gears I just want to be absolutely sure I won't have a problem... not to mention it's a 90 mile drive to the track.. If I decide to get them I will be running these extra mods... 75mm plenum-T/B, MAC prochamber with hi-flow cats, Steeda dual core radiator, and Nitto 555R's

dude, are rear ends are a lot stronger. His rear end i belive is a 7.5 inch(somthing like that). The rear end in gt's are an 8.8, Besides f-bodys are known for having really weak rear ends and breaking really easily

I had a friend who had a 98ish TA w/ ram air and all that good stuff.. He changed out his rear end and blew it 3-4 times.. I think they are known for having that problem to be honest.. I've heard this a few times and never once heard a Mustang owner say much about it.. Unless your pushing mega horsepower..
