Default all wheel drive 99-04 GT???

alright, i've been racking my brains, but has anyone ever had success of making a 99-04' GT all wheel drive?? would it be possible or just to much work?? i've just been thinking about it all weekend. any and all thoughts apreciated. thanks.

Yeh, man most awd cars are imports because thats the only chance they have at winning.LOL... But with a beefed up v8 you can "hawwk" em' down in the end

no they also make AWD explorers as well, the limited or eddie bauer with the V-8 has it optional

No. I've never heard of anyone ever doing this. Probably because they we're either killed for thinking about it, or realized they've watched to much monster garage and realized god likes rwd.

If you've thought about doing this as a project, have fun. You're going to be breaking alot of axles, transfer-cases, and be pi55ed off because you wasted a completely good mustang.

First off, Ignore all the haters. =P

That said, here's a partial parts list to make your car AWD

1). Transfer case mated to existing Transmission
2). Shortened rear Drive Shaft
3). Front Drive shaft
4). Modified K-Member subframe to house front differential
5). Front differential
6). Front Axle shafts
7). Custom Modified AWD hubs

I would say you are looking betwee 5-7K in parts alone, Engineering (R&D) and Labor would be at least that much. So if you have 15K to throw at the project, let us know how it goes.

an AWD explorer would be kind of cool...if it wasn't a Ford Exploder

I think there's a reason they never continued the AWD program in anything else.... AWD focus would be kinda neat.
