if your going 20mph and your hood flies off with tremendous velocity and such while it's slitted you guys definitely need to check your latches.... mine was popped on my V-6 one day and I diddn't know it till 5 miles later down the freeway in which I was going 90, the people at milan are way older and grew up with this crap, and since I wasn't too sure about it myself, I watched the other stangers go to the T/S box and sure enough their hood was popped... so unless they were running a contest to see who's hood would fly off first I don't think they would be doing it for nothing

Exactly what are you thinking popping your hood is gonna do?? This is the dumbest thing I have ever heard.

Are you saying you pop the hood while drag racing?? or on the way back after a pass?? Either way, what is it your trying to accomplish?

I hope you like buying a new hood. Just cause it didn't fly off once doesn't mean it won't the next time, and you are putting undo stress on all of the connections, which it was not built for.

you sir are an IDIOT! I've seen hoods fly up that are closed on the strip...that's why people use hood pins! OMG just don't post about anything anymore.....you are just giving bad advice!

btw I still want to know how popping the hood, ruining your airflow over it is going to help you at the strip?

I personally would avoid it, not because it was done aftermarket or anything like that, I just personally like the streamline of a hard top. Just my preference on the subject.
