I have a 96gt I need to know where the coolant fan relay is. My fan wont turn off and that is what I think problem is, but I have looked every where and I can not find it.

Mine is on the passenger strut tower in a little black box. I have an 04 but I would assume yours is in the same place.

I looked on the passenger strut tower but I didn't see anything. Could you possibly be more specific?

It could also be a direct short either in the motor or somewhere between the motor and the battery. Does it stay on all the time even with the key out and the car off? Or does it stay on only with the key in the "run" position with all the other access. fired up? This would help determine if this is in the realm of possibilities. Or it could be a short in the coolant temp sensor? (maybe) or a flaw in the signal the computer is pumping out to the motor. Usually Haynes manuals and for sure ford service manuals have wiring diagrams. Unfortunately, with electrical problems, it usually means pulling out the ol volt meter along with time and patience. Or replacing parts at random one at a time.

Damn, the box isn't there on my car. Appreciate you taking the time to take the picture though.

It is only on when you actually start the car. Then it stays on until you turn the car off then it turns off as well. I tested the 2 coolant sensors and they both had resistance. So I'm stumped
