RE: How to calibrate your mass air meter
I'm going to install a Saleen Series IV Supercharger on my 03 gt 2V. The kit comes with 30 lbs. injectors and I have to send the computer to Saleen for the recal.Should Ibe able to use my stock MAF or go with an aftermarket one.

Its all in the tune....so it depends on what saleen has planed. If it doesnt come with the kit Iam assuming they are using the stock one. Problem is the stock one will reach its limit depending on the HP, that means that further down the line if you want more power you will need a new mass air and retune or a mafia and a retune. Good Luck

RE: How to calibrate your mass air meter
People get confused about doing a maf "calibration" because there are certian aftermarket mafs (like a C&L) that have tuning tubes you can use to attempt to tune the car without messing with the computer. IMO its not really a good idea, the only real use of the tubes (once again IMO) is that you can set the pickup tube to read less so you don't peg the maf.
If your looking for an aftermarket one, you should go with a lightning 90mm MAF. However, unless your FI or on a heavyly built motor the stock MAF is fine, as are the injectors until you exceed something like 310~ WHP.
