Like ACER said. It depends on how hard you launch but you should be fine for a long time. That 8.8 rear can handle alot more power than you are putting down.

i kno the 8.8 rear end is pretty good, but generally at what point is a upgraded rear end necessary? typically how much does a decent systme run? assuming you have supporitng mods like control arms, springs/struts and such

when you are running an E/T street or better and are trying to launch at 4-6K. unless you are really dropping the hammer on a fat tire, you'll be fine.

Just put some nitto d/rs or something similar for street runs. You should be fine.
No matter the horsepower level, unless you run a sticky tire you should be fine.
BTW, for a little extra cheap insurance put a rear girdle on there.
