SLP won't work on AUTO. AT least it won't fit my 2002 GT according to the tech line(crap). The only LT for my year was the MAC for a auto. The fit is xtremely tight. hooking the midpipe to the LT was a pain in the as&*^&^ because of the trans. pan. You almost have to have a air wrench to get the inside bolt to fasten. But, for $400, the quality is there, they look nice, definately wake up the car.
Do not buy headers w/out calling the tech line/ from the outlet first. Most of the LT on the market are all for standard trans. for 2002. PLan 5-8 hours for install w/ good tools a a cherry pick. As for the tune, the predator tune I have is not enough. Seems to run lean at the higer rpm's.
IM sure a a/f tune would make a difference.. If you end up getting the MAC LT, get the pro chamber for a midpipe. You won't be dissapointed.

I have Mac LT's with my 03 auto and they weren't very expensive. That's why I got them and they work great. They were the only mod besides my gears I got installed by the shop.

SLP will in fact fit on an '02 AUTO trans GT. I've had their entire system including their LT headers on my '02 GT (AUTO) for over a year now!!!

In fact their LT headers are designed to fit on both AUTO and STANDARD transmissions (no modifications are required). The entire exhaust system from the headers back takes about 8 hours to install if done by a performance shop.

I didn't call the tech line at SLP, instead I actually drove to SLP HQ in New Jersey. It is only a 30 minute drive from where I live. I doubt any of their engineers told you that they wouldn't fit on '02 AUTO equipped GT's.

I asked the tech at Mustang tuning and RPM outlet and got the same answer on the SLP LT. What a bumber. All in all, Im happy w/ my MACS. It's ashame these outlet employees don't know what the hell there talking about . SLP was what I originally wanted.
