SVO Cylinder heads for the 4.6L 2v NPI engine, How good do you think these are compared to steenracing.com stage 1 headswap package?

For almost $2000 I would much rather just get some nice P&P heads from MPH.

Flow #'s are much better on the MPH heads.

Those heads are by no means "new". They have been on the market for several years. They will flow better than ported pi heads write out of the box. When they came out there was a man from SVO that had them on his car to demistrate there potential. His 98 mustang ran 12's with those heads. They have been out for a long time, but there high price keeps people away from them.

Why is MPH heads massively outflowing them if they will outflow ported PI heads?

SHM SVO heads: Intake flows 185 cfm @ .550 lift
Exhaust flow 148 cfm @ .550 lift

MPH heads: Intake flows 235 cfm @ .550 lift
Exhaust flows 202 cfm @ .550 lift

I think the MPH heads have bigger valves installed in them like the ones that come in the SVO heads. The SVO head is the best head for modular 2v as far as flow goes. Factory ported PI heads with factory valves are doing good to flow the same as the SVO heads.

I see no mention of oversized valves just says stainless valves. How are the SVO heads the best heads for modular 2v's when the MPH heads are massively outflowing them? The MPH heads are just factory PI heads ported. Even if they do requite oversized valves which I dont think they do they are still outflowing the SVO heads which do require oversized valves.
