Have you ever had a screen door caught by the wind and slammed open/shut?
If so, you know that while a screen is just a bunch of holes in fabric/metal, it is still a sheet of fabric/metal. There is definitely resistance to a screen and I imagine there will be a measurable restriciton as indicated above.
If you don't mind going to a less restrictive filter, you shouldn't mind going to a less restrictive tube. Toss the screen and reap the rewards.

Any of you tossing your screen in the trash, drop me a Private Message.... I need one, along with the stock airbox attaching hardware (bolt,bushing.clip,etc)....[sm=icon_cheers.gif] Seriously...

i put on my BBK CAI that goes into the fender(so did stock)... and ive had idling problems now and i think we put the screen back in... i wonder now...
