RE: High Mileage
This goes back 2 the thread creator, if you have 11 to 13k 2 spend, id look for a 2001.5 to 2002 for about $12,500. This was my window when looking for my GT. I found a great deal and pick my 02 GT with 23K miles for 12,5. This is what id go for if loooking for a 5th gen stang.

RE: High Mileage
I have an '02 GT with 105,000 miles on it. I purchased it brand new in '02 (I'm on the road - A LOT!) I have kept it well maintained (frequent oil changes, tuned up just recently, etc.) and have never had to do any major repairs to the car (upgraded brakes). It has some mods (check my sig) and runs extremely strong. The car rides just as nice as it did when I purchased it brand new. I don't beat on the car and it has never seen the track.
However, this is not going to be the case with every Mustang you come across. If the car has seen major track time I would probably stay away from it. If when you go to purchase the car the owner tells you how fast the car will go (i.e. Hey man, I've had it up to 150mph and I've beaten every car I have ever raced!) I would say: RUN, DON'T WALK!!!

RE: High Mileage
When I got my car 3 years ago it had 110k on it, only mods on it was a cat back flowmaster. I guess its all about how the car was taken care of. If the car was heavily modified I would have some worries, a car stacked with tons of mods usually means it may have been pushed a little, gears and short throw-shifters scare me the most when buying used. Just my 2 cents.
