Hey all, just wondering cause I have been hearing about it a lot lately, What exactly is this quad shock setup and what does it do? advantages/disadvantages of having them? Thanks

they are the first things to do when you start modding suspension [8D]

actually, they are the little shocks that go from ur control arm to behind the axle (i cant remember exactly, cuz mine are gone). they prevent wheel hop, but as soon as u get an aftermarket set of lower CAs, you wont need them anymore.

You have them stock. They are the little shocks in the rear that go horizontal.

OK, I know what your talking about, I saw those under there and wondered what they were,,,,,, so now that my car will have the new upper and lower c/a's should I take them off, is there any advantage to taking them off or leaving them on?

they should help out on the line for takeoff. i am keeping mine if the svt and svo have them im going to have them. my 85 svo was my first stang to have them and compared to my 79 it hooks up alot better

is it ok to take em off if your stock in the *** end? im doing gears and sub frame connectors in the next week. but if its cool to do so now i'll go ahead n yank em off.

stockd15b leave them in. you'll wheel hop like crazy if you take them out now, with your stock suspension. once you get ca's you can take them out.

heres my thought on them, they don't do anything but help your suspension and the only reason people take them out is for weight savings. how much do you guys really think these things weigh you down? not to mention its in the rear of the car. front of the car is where you want to start losing weight first.
