RE: changing differential/gear oil
manual says 60K
i didnt buy a new gasket so im going to end up just pumping the lube out and filling her back up. i figure in the next 10K miles ill get 3.73 or 4.10 gears so they can do the real thing then.

Gasket? Just some RTV will do. Like 4 bucks for a tube. Get some acetone and clean the old gasket off the cover when you remove it. Also put something (a cloth) over your gears so you can scrape any gasket off the cover mating surface. It's a pretty cake job.

wait i dont need a gasket, i took off the cover, drained her, and now im letting teh rtv silicone set, and then ill fill her up, the drain plug was magnetic which is cool, it collects metal shavings, i didnt have too many but i definitely had some. so far so good, ill let you know how the rest goes

i used blue rtv silicone instead of black, any expert opinions know what kinda temps the blue can handle? i guess if the blue cant hold up then ill consider this one a flush.
thats all i had around at the house at the time and wasnt thinking till i was applying it, and i was like aaaww poo.
