its better to be that hihg in the rpms under load (as in, in gear) instead of in nuetral

but it'd be fun to have a bunch of similar videos,,

such as , revving from a certain distance from the camera (say, a bit of the idle up close, then back up and rev for about 15 seconds)

then get a launch and a drive by at WOT

....hint hint.. code,, sound feasable

ORIGINAL: Dalthius

Revving it that high is bad?
Its the same as if you were to suspend a bike in the air and pedal as fast as you can. Wouldnt that be a hell of a lot harder on your body? But when the car is under load it its the same as pedalling as fast as you can when the wheels are on the ground. Much easier on all of your body.

they are a good way to invoke competition and maybe motivate people to take more pride in their ride. i usually miss the voting and such, but its a good idea.

I say keep the contests going, but maybe a little clearer on what the vote is for.

I saw many other cars in the last contest "I" felt were better looking, cleaner shots, etc then the ones that were picked, and some of the ones that were picked were awesome others were just ho hum..... But you picked based off color
...and pick what "I" felt were the cleanest in certain colors.....
There wasn't a color aspect to the original poll just asking for pictures of 99-04s, and that may be were some of the "whining" resides.

Was I upset that I wasn't in the vote, no, but I do feel "I" have a better looking shots then some that were picked. Do I really care? Nope. It is just an internet poll for a little something from the board. It's not for money or fame. If people are that bent out of shape over it they shouldn't be entering.

Keep them going, but maybe a little clearer on what you are going to be voting on before it starts so everyone understands. If it will be a certin color, for background, certain stance, etc.....
