Default Help Installing Welds

I just got me a set of Weld Draglites, 6 inch fronts and 8 inch backs, with tires for $300. Need help installing fronts. They would not fit because of the brake caliper so i had to get 1/4 inch spacers and they still rubbed a little, so i had to grind down a very little spot on my caliper. After they were installed they rubbed but it wasnt the caliper. I took they wheel off and looked at the spacer and u could move it very slightly to the side. Its the kind u just put on the studs and put your wheel on after. I took them off and found a spot where they didnt move, and reinstalled, but it still made the same noise. I think these are just cheap spacers, or something. Maybe i installed them wrong i dont know. I need help if anyone has put welds on there GT. Any advice will help.

Get some hubcentric spacers. The ones where the spacer bolts to the stock studs, then the wheel bolts to the studs on the spacer. They are much safer.

Spacers in general suck... You really shouldn't use them...

You need spacers to make certain wheels fit. Especially skinnies.

Thats not the point, he has wheels that he needs to make fit.

Go with the hubcentric ones, maybe 1/2"....that should give you enough clearance since the 1/4" ones aren't enough.

Don't buy wheels if they don't fit.... That is a safety issue, they won't let you run at the track when they see spacers during tech inspection.... Next time do some research before you buy things....

What are you talking about? People use spacers all the time for their skinnies up front.
