coolant hose broke.. need help

RE: coolant hose broke.. need help
as i remember when i bought a new heater hose, it clips onto the plastic inlet for the intake manifold. if the clip is broken just buy a new hose and itll have a new one, if the inlet to the intake is broke you will need a new intake. the plastic intake lawsuit might cover you if you dont have the aluminum corssover, but if you do its gonna be about 500$ or more for a shop to doit. but before all that, just take off that hose tac2ful showed you and check the plastic inlet on the intake manifold. no it doesnt screw off, its molded to the manifold. and there is no safe way to rig anything if that is cracked, its under a lot of pressure and get really hot.

RE: coolant hose broke.. need help
ok guys here's the final deal.. i called ford, and told them about my situtation. they asked for my VIN number.. and so i gave it to them.. he looked it up on the computer and then he asked me if my intake was plastic.. i said YES.. a few moments later.. he said "okay take it in anytime.. and we'll replace your intake free of charge.." NICE!!!!!!!!
turns out when i asked him.. he said that there was a "recall" on those intakes, because a few years back.. people filed a lawsuit on them because it was a common thing for the plastic intake manifold to break and crack. he said you have 7 years to get it fixed by them.. otherwise.. it expires. so my mustang is 2001.. its only 2006.. so im within that span!
thanks again guys.. and btw.. ill post pics up of my new mustang.. since im a new user here. thanks guys
