how many miles to break in cams? any info will help

From my experiences with pushrod motors (and everyones opinion is different), 10-15 minutes of idling and about 5-10 miles of driving and you are ready to start driving hard.

How was the install?? Did you do them yourself?? How's the idle???

The install was 5 hours with me helping the guy that put my motor in my old car. He charged me 300 but all the local shop like pauls high performance wanted a grand for labor. So 300 was cool with me.You can tell there is more to it then stock.

This is correct for a flat tappet cam, roller cams really do not need any specific amount of break in time. Just take it easy for the first few minutes to get the oil up to tempurature and make sure the lifters are full of oil and you will be fine.
