Default Question about Gears

I am on a role tonight with asking questions. Assuming that you changed the gears in the rear end, would you car dyno higher HP and TQ #'s. I know that the higher gears would give oyu more torque, so theoretically this should be shown in a dyno. I can;t see how ythis would affect HP at all on a dyno. Also, with the gears, how much can you cut off your 1/4 ET's.

all gears do is get you to your powerband quicker, in turn making your car a good bit faster.

This is whya dyno run is done in what ever gear is equal to 1:1. This is also why I say dyno numbers don't mean $hit, a dyno is a tool nothing more and nothing less.
