Yeah that does look 100x better than the honeycomb panel. I would get it painted over getting the panel. I think the taillight tint makes it look even better.

I think it looks good, but I would rather have something I can take off instead of something permanent.

The 99 35th anniversary had 'em. A guy in my neighborhood back at home has a white one with the honeycomb panel and a black hood stripe

Nope. DarkShadow is correct. You dont have a 35th anniversary edition GT. They all came with the honeycomb panel.
