Default Difference between 99 - 04 GT's

Can somone tell me the diffrences between the 1999, 2000, 2001, 2003, & 2004 GT's

I'm pretty sure i read somewere that the 00 has more compression then the 99? Is this true? If so, is more compression good or bad... sorry im a noob.

i hate to make 2 threads in 1 night but i had to know.

I'm not too sure on that one but I would think they are all similar except for the transmission. 99-early 01 still had the T-45 while the late 01-04 had the 3650 which is a better tranny.

99 and 00 have the 17" white rims and no hood scoop and t-45 and the center console is the old style, the 2001+ has the the new trans and bullet rims and hood scoop and new center console and new cup holder. If you can get the 2001+

the romeo block i think is better.

also, 2003 had slightly more agressive cams, and perhaps better valve springs.
2003 is the 100th aniversary of ford, and 2004 is the 40th aniversary of the mustang.

8 bolt > 6 bolt. Theres a reason the 03/04 Cobra has an 8bolt crank...

I'm not sure if it started with the mid-01 cars, but I know that '03-'04 cars had 21# vs. 19# injectors.

are you sure about that?? ive been looking into it and havent come up with a definite answer to the 8 bolt and 6 bolt. ive read some stuff about the 8th letter of the vin being a certain letter denoting a 6 or 8 bolt...
