Ok here is the thing I don't know what year cobra it was but it was pre 99. Yesterday i was running down I-99 and met up with a cobra. We hit a light and the road was clear. I am not the best 1/4 mile driver so I was at a disadvantage X2. The light changed and we hit it, by second he was about 1/2 car length behind me. I don't understand? I have alot of mods but no SC so I shuld have had my *** handed to me?

pre99 cobras are not a big amount faster than the pi GTs.

theres always the chance that it was a sn95 GT with the cobra hood. the sn cobras had 300 bhp, so if ur stock he should have killed you. what are ur mods?

I thought all cobra's were SC? so I guess that I will not worry about a cobra any longer.

I have a JLT ram air, 75MM TB and upper with a Steeda EGR spacer, Steeda timing advancer, Bassani X pipe, flowmaster 2 chamber race cat back, 3:73's and LCA's just for starters.

I thought the SN95 Cobras had 240 HP????or is that just the 1995 SVTs??

ONLY 03 and 04 Cobras are factory blown.

yeah, the 5.0 SVTs put out 240, the 4.6 modular cobra came with 300 at first, then 316, and then 390 SC

ok, so ur only real gains are ur intake (i would go with CAI if u have a chance, ram air is worthless, especially under the hood), timing advance, xpipe, and gears. and the LCAs are good but didnt help u in this race. I think he should have walked you unless he was a 5.0. if the 4.6 then he prolly didnt hit his best gear for the speed or just though he would outpower u in whatever gear he was in.
