Sorry to post another thread on this subject, but Code's post is way too long. I have decided that stage 1 cams are the way to go for me. However, is it worth it if i dont Port and Polish the heads on my 02GT. Im worried i will not see the true benefits of new cams without the P&P. Also, i know this is stupid, but the sound of the cams are a big part in my decision. Will the sound of Stage 1 Cams be a noticable difference at idle and WOT? Lastly, i know 15-20 RWHP is expected with new cams, but is this still true without P&P the heads?

VT Stage 1's will give you a good lope. If you are gonna have someone P&P your heads...make sure they know what they are doing and have done 4.6 heads before. Alot of times, by the time you pay for the P&P, new valves, retainers etc, you could have bought a good set of complete VT, Livernois, MPH or Fox Lake Racing heads.

i am having my stage 1s VTs installed as i type. I asked quite a bit about p&p and was told pretty much the same thing Code said. Probably not worth the $$$ and should just get a set from someone who has done it many times b4.
