Getting ready to buy

Getting ready to buy
I am getting ready to buy my first GT (found a good deal on a Bullitt) and was interested to know what general things are problems for these cars at 45,000 miles? (2001) All cars have thier issues and I was interested in finding out what to replace/upgrade right off the bat. I'll have a PPI done, but just in case they miss something. Really just looking for a GT, not that the idea of the Bullitt is lost on me, but should I consider an 03 GT instead and 01 Bullitt? Any thoughts would be great. Thanks.

If you found a good deal on a Bullitt, I would take it over a GT. They have better brakes, lowering springs, bigger sway bars. and just a tad bit more power than a stock GT. As far a problems with them the only thing that I have heard is abot the gears grinding, but that is not a big deal becsuse they have a TSB for that so no problem there. Other than that they are great cars with very few major problems espically if you take care of it and do all the normal matinace on it. So tke the deal and then post some pics of the car so we can see your new Pony!!!!

Appreciate the help fellas. I'll be making an offer this weekend. They must want to sell it. I have them down to $14,500 from $17,500 (2001 - w/43,000 miles). Sound reasonable? I am considering picking up an extended Ford warranty.
