why get rid of the stang???
All you have to do is pull the trans, then pull the engine. I had to lift my engine (while my trans was out), and let me tell you if I had a little more clearance above me (I was in the garage with the engine hoist) and I had disconnected about a dozen little connections, the engine would have plucked right out.
You will probably need a different driveshaft, possibly a different crossmember, and I would definitely beef up the rear end. I assume you know you would need a better tranny.

im selling it to build a badder and faster car. i already planned on a all new drivetrain. thats why i wondered what i would need if i got a V6 and put a 4.6, TKO500 and 8.8 rear end in it. im wondering how hard it is to do with the wiring harnesses and stuff. i know i can get it all out... just the wiring could kill me.

If you do decide to do a drivetrain swap, why not go with a 9" rear instead of the 8.8?? With that TKO and a 9", the drivetrain would be damn near bulletproof. Hell, while you're dumping all that money in it, you might as well get a DSS 5.4 longblock while you're at it.

Exactly what RB said...Hence why he said it was going back to stock...Why pay for parts when you can take them off and re-use them?...Plus cheaper insurance is always nice...
