With superchargers you get what you pay for. Get a nice kit with an intercooler specific for your application and you shouln't have problems. Many good kit's out there: Vortech, Paxton, etc.

The main thing with superchargers is the tune, after it is all installed take it to a good shop that has a dyno and have them tune it. It is all about the tune with a supercharger, the better the tune the more reliable and less problems that you will have in the future.

for long term reliability will I need forged internals? a supercharger obviously put more wear and tear on the motor, how long will it last supercharger if i get the tune but nothing else? Thanks

read the previous post...as long as the tune is done properly, and the parts installed properly and you dont get crazy with the boost, it shouldnt affect longevity at all....
