stock trannys suck, period... i messed up 3rd gear on mine.. but its in the shop for warranty work right now.

I rebuilt mine with all new synchros. Shifts like butter! I am putting amsoil in it in a few hundred more miles.

T45, everything internally was beautiful. I think my shifter is messed up because in a few gears it shakes but if I push lightly on the handle it goes away, there is a lot of slop in that universal joint in my shifter. MGW shifter soon to be installed


the main problem with the T45s is the shift forks, which were in mint condition in mine THANK GOD

speaking of transmissions on the earlier mustangs on my 01 5 speed sometimes i cant shift into reverse,and also almost everytime i shift into 2nd it makes a little grinding noise,ford just installed a new clutch and throwout bearing,do you think its the transmission

im pretty sure if it was grinding then its ur synchros going out soon...

its a very strong tranny made by tremec. rated up to i think 500 torque
